Prof. de Paula Vieria has published more than 140 internationally peer-reviewed scientific articles. His current research group (IBEPIPE) is engaged in performing pre-clinical and clinical studies in field of respiratory and immune response. Equipped with the state-of-the-art diagnostic and analytical equipment, the researchers of the goup are aiming to understand the mechanisms involved in the respiratory diseases and the underlying mechanisms involved in the effects of physical exercise on respiratory diseases as well as in athletic activities.
